Nura-Lisa became CEO of the Hotels Association of Tanzania in May, 2017. Her main duties are to provide advocacy services for HAT members and the Tanzanian hospitality industry at large, with a focus on the priority advocacy areas as adopted by the HAT Board in HAT’s Annual Plans. She also fulfils a general public representation role for HAT and the industry and is in charge of overall supervision of the Secretariat.
Jennifer joined HAT in January 2016 as the administrative officer and she is responsible for providing administrative support to HAT secretariat on administrative and office functioning matters, including human resource, accounts reconciliation, financial issues, membership services, office operations, filing and overall office management. She ensures that administrative systems are functioning effectively, efficiently and in a user-friendly manner in support of the smooth implementation of HAT programs, including to Board, Partners, Visitors and the Public at large.
Jennifer is the newly appointed Members Liaison Officer. Her primary duty is to maintain steady communication with members, tourism stakeholders and the government. She is also in charge of handling services to be provided to members. Jennifer assists the CEO in her executive duties and acts on behalf in her absence.
George started working with HAT in 2011 where he was part of the team that developed the HAT website, and since then he has continued as a supporting staff for website maintenance, design and integrating tools to facilitate communication between HAT and its Members.
